Lol. Microsoft dropped support for IE Mac in 2003; Apple didn't even include IE in the 10.4 (Tiger) installation from 2005.

Supporting browsers with minimal market share is a futile undertaking.

The NYT could have posted an alert that detects unsupported browsers and display a list of modern alternatives.
