Ken Little, You Rule! Even The NYTPicker Has To Admit, The New "Article Skimmer" Is Totally Rad.

Like, wow. The NYT web developers outdid themselves this time. Its new "First Look" blog highlights the website's latest bells and whistles, and here's the first one, a killer app that organizes the NYT's entire content into an easy-to-read "Article Skimmer."

Check it out. We're already hooked.

Huh. Where are they going to stick their breathless "1 minute ago" and "8 minutes ago" tags, over and over again so our little cursors can dance with excitement?

Also, the fact that "Most Emailed" is second from the top of the left rail is pretty creepy. I'm still waiting to see the web version come up with its own form of autofill, finally fulfilling the promise of the early 90s of "getting your own personal newspaper" with just the stories you want to see, based on prior selections.

And that's really creepy.

As much as I wish I could take credit, Andre Behrens is the developer behind the app.

Glad you're enjoying it.
